Russian Energy Ministry: there are ideas about combining some service assets, but no plans to create state operator
MOSCOW. Jan 29 (Interfax) - There are no plans to create a single Russian state oil service operator, but there are ideas to combine a number of service assets, First Deputy Energy Minister Pavel Sorokin said during the Russia forum.
"There are no plans to create a state [oil service] operator," he said, answering a question on the topic.
"There are various ideas for combining a number of service assets to create synergy, but these decisions should mature organically. As expertise increases and supply chains are built, this will happen organically," he added.
