Number of ships in Ukrainian port Izmail unchanged, while their number in Reni drops

MOSCOW. Dec 18 (Interfax) - The number of ships at the Izmail port in Ukraine's Odessa region remained unchanged at 98 on Monday, as the Marine Traffic monitoring application reported.

Another 17 vessels are expected to call at the port, Ukrainian media reported.

In addition, there were eight ships in the Reni port in the Odessa region on this day. Another three vessels are expected to call at the port. There were 12 vessels in this port last Monday.

As previously reported, the cargo turnover of the seaports in the Danube region reached 29.4 million tonnes between January and November 2023, which is over two times higher than the figure for the same period in 2022, when it stood at 14.5 million tonnes. The number of vessels handled in the Danube ports in the first 11 months of this year boosted 68.6%, from 8,944 to 13,045, while in the first 11 months of 2021 there were 3,252.
