Kyrgyzstan and China agree to $150 million in new economic projects
BISHKEK. Sept 27 (Interfax) - Kyrgyzstan and China have signed memorandums on new business projects worth over $150 million, the press service of the Kyrgyz government reported.
"Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Torobaev, as part of a working trip to Beijing, participated in a meeting with representatives of the business community. As a result of the meeting, memorandums of understanding worth more than $150 million were signed between government agencies and entrepreneurs of the two countries," the message says.
During the meeting, the prospects for business cooperation, issues of export promotion, regional integration and economic development were discussed, the press service said. About a dozen Kyrgyz government representatives and 80 Chinese companies from various industries took part in the panel sessions.
