Moskvich auto plant expand dealer network to 67 outlets in 35 Russian cities
MOSCOW. Aug 22 (Interfax) - Moskvich, the former Renault auto plant in Russia, has expanded its dealership network after selecting new partners in 12 Russian cities, the carmaker reported.
Moskvich has partnered with car dealerships in Barnaul, Vologda, Murmansk, Novosibirsk, Penza, Ryazan, Rostov, Surgut, Tambov, Togliatti, Tomsk and Cherepovets. These locations are now preparing to open.
Moskvich already has 55 sales and service centers in 25 Russian cities, the company recalled.
Semi-knocked down assembly of cars under the Moskvich brand began at the Moscow plant in November 2022, six months after its former owner French automaker Renault left Russia. The plant produces two models of crossovers with components from China's JAC, the Moskvich 3 with internal combustion engine and the electric Moskvich 3e.
The plant intends to produce at least 50,000 cars in 2023, including 10,000 electric vehicles.
