Kazakhstan had 0.6% inflation in July, annual figure 14%
ASTANA. Aug 1 (Interfax) - Inflation in Kazakhstan was 0.6% in July compared to 0.5% in June 2023, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms said.
Annual inflation reached 14%.
Food prices went up 0.1%, nonfood goods 0.7% and services 1% in July.
In annual terms, compared to July last year, construction materials rose 11.5% in price. Diesel fuel jumped 36%. Airfares rose 10.5%, and rail fares 9.5%. LPG prices went up 14.5%, electricity 10.5% and heat 10.1%.
Inflation was 20.3% in 2022.
