YATEC exports first batch of LPG to China
YAKUTSK. June 22 (Interfax) - Yakutsk Fuel and Energy Company (YATEC) has exported its first batch of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) totaling more than 240 tonnes to Yanbian Yaoding Gas in China, the YATEC press service said in a statement.
"The development of gas use in petrochemicals with subsequent deep processing makes it possible to increase the volume of LPG exports to newly opened petrochemical enterprises in China's northeastern provinces. In 2022, eight plants for propane dehydrogenation were commissioned, and production of propylenes and acrylic acid began. YATEC's cooperation with LPG processing organizations in China will make it possible to develop export relations for mutual benefit," the press service quoted YATEC Commercial Director Maxim Istomin as saying in the statement.
The delivery was made by rail in flatcars loaded with products in tank-containers.
YATEC is an independent gas production company that accounts for 86% of gas produced in Yakutia. The company owns the rights to eight license areas: Srednevilyuyskoye, Mastakhskoye, Tolonskoye, Tymtaidakhskoye, Severnoye, Yuzhnoye, Mayskoye, and Sobolokhskoye. According to financial statements as of December 31, 2022 and the company's reporting in March, the majority owner of YATEC was Albert Avdolyan.
