ST.PETERSBURG. June 19 (Interfax) - Participants in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) signed over 900 agreements totaling 3.86 trillion rubles, Andrei Kobyakov, the executive secretary of the SPIEF 2023 organizing committee, said.

"Over 900 agreements worth nearly four trillion rubles, 3.86 trillion rubles, were signed during the forum. [...] And those are only the agreements which do not constitute a commercial secret," Kobyakov told reporters.

A total of 17,000 people from 130 countries took part in the SPIEF in 2023, he said.

"The rates of participation and interest in the forum reached their pre-Covid levels," Kobyakov said.

A total of 43 agreements during SPIEF 2023 were signed with representatives of foreign companies, including from Italy and Spain, he said. A number of representatives of the unfriendly states attended the forum under the name of companies that were not theirs.

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum took place on June 14-17 in 2023.
