Ukraine expects Denmark's support to its joining NATO - Rada speaker

MOSCOW. May 19 (Interfax) - Ukraine expects the support of the parliament and the government of Denmark in the matters dealing with its membership in NATO, Verkhovna Rada Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk said.

"I hope that the Folketing and the government of Denmark will support Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic integration and facilitate the achievement of consensus on our bid for the accession to NATO," Ukrainian media outlets quoted Stefanchuk as saying during his official visit to Denmark on Friday.

The program of Stefanchuk's visit to Denmark includes meetings with Queen of Denmark Margrethe II, Folketing (parliament) Speaker Soeren Gade, and acting Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen, the press service for the office of the Verkhovna Rada said.
