Ukrainian PM unveils plans to develop economic model for Ukraine as Europe's resource center
MOSCOW. April 18 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal has announced plans to work out a new economic model for Ukraine as Europe's resource center.
"The needs and cooperation in reconstruction efforts were coordinated with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Developmet, the EU and the Reform Office under the Cabinet of Ministers," Ukrainian media outlets quoted Shmygal as saying in a social media post.
The focus will be on ten key areas and reforms, such as the development of a new economic model for Ukraine as Europe's resource center, civil security sector reform, an undated veterans policy, energy reform to ensure energy independence and modernization, recovery efforts, large-scale social reform, business support projects, new avenues of education reform, customs reform, and public administration reform, the prime minister said.
"I thank the partners for their willingness to support the government's priorities, the Reform Office team and the URA project, for their daily work," Shmygal said.
