Toyota auto plant with equipment, land transferred to Russian state property - Industry and Trade Ministry

MOSCOW. March 31 (Interfax) - The manufacturing plant of Japan's Toyota auto concern in St. Petersburg, Toyota Motor LLC, has been transferred to state ownership of the Russian Federation to federal state unitary enterprise NAMI, which is subordinate to the Industry and Trade Ministry, the ministry's press service said in a statement.

"The Toyota manufacturing site in St. Petersburg at this stage has passed to the state in the person of FSUE NAMI, which is subordinate to the Industry and Trade Ministry of Russia. The agreement implies the full transfer of ownership of the plant's building, the equipment and the land," the ministry said in the statement.

The regulator is developing possible options for the quickest resumption of manufacturing at the plant.

The ministry has not disclosed details of the deal.
