Energy sector of Ukraine's Nikolayev region gets nearly 700 tonnes of equipment from int'l partners - minister
MOSCOW. March 24 (Interfax) - The energy sector of the Nikolayev region has received 680 tonnes of equipment and materials for repair efforts from international partners with the help of Ukrainian Energy Ministry, Energy Minister German Galushchenko said.
Another 4 million euros or so from the Ukraine Energy Support Fund will be allocated shortly to procure energy equipment and materials for the region's needs, Ukrainian media said, citing information circulated by the Energy Ministry on social media following Galushchenko's visit to the Nikolayev region.
"Thanks to their professionalism and international partners' support, our energy sector workers rapidly repaired damaged infrastructure," Galushchenko said.
The power supply situation in the Nikolayev region and preparations for the next heating season were discussed at the minister's meeting with senior officials of the region and local energy enterprises, the ministry said.
