Coronavirus sickness rate in Russia up almost one-third over past week - coronavirus response HQ
MOSCOW. Feb 6 (Interfax) - The coronavirus sickness rate in Russia per 100,000 people increased by 32.7% las week from the week before, according to data released by the coronavirus response headquarters on Monday.
The coronavirus sickness rate increased in 83 regions of Russia, according to the report.
"The coronavirus sickness rate per 100,000 people reached 41.4 last week, which is a 32.7% increase from the week before. The sickness rate increased in 83 regions of Russia," the report said.
The week before, a 19.9% increase to 31.2 was reported.
The hospitalization rate per 100,000 people reached 4.6 last week, which is a 21.1% increase from the week before. The number of hospitalizations rose in 65 regions of Russia, while in 30 regions the increase in hospitalizations was higher than the Russian average.
A total of 22,004,828 coronavirus cases, 395,325 deaths and 21,385,884 recoveries have been recorded in Russia since the start of the pandemic.
