Ukrainian PM Shmygal hoping financial Ramstein meeting will take place in Q1 2023

MOSCOW. Dec 6 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal has said he is hoping for a meeting to be held as part of the so-called financial Ramstein in the first quarter of 2023.

"As regards the 'financial Ramstein,' the work is now de facto underway on the level of the European Commission and on the level of financial institutions and G7," Shmygal said at a news conference that he attended together with Moldovan Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita in Kiev on Monday, according to Ukrainian media reports.

According to the Ukrainian prime minister, France is due to host another international conference next week, with issues such as energy security and financial security on the agenda, as well as military security and nuclear safety.

"If you expect it to be formalized as a roundtable, then yes, this is the case. A high political level is being projected. I hope that we will be seeing it as early as during the first quarter of the next year. All those working groups working today will certainly be presenting, at least once in a quarter, political achievements and political agreements as part of the financial Ramstein," Shmygal said.
