Ukrainian authorities derail Izyum evacuation to Lozova - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. March 11 (Interfax) - The evacuation of the town of Izyum to Lozova has been disrupted by Ukrainian authorities, the head of Russia's national defense control center, Mikhail Mizintsev, told a briefing on Friday.

"Regrettably, the evacuation of the town of Izyum into the town of Lozova failed to take place through Ukraine's fault. It is the very itinerary and humanitarian corridor the authorities in Kyiv had offered us themselves," Mizintsev said.

"The travel itineraries are planted with landmines, and parts of the road are being shelled with small arms and mortars by Ukrainian territorial defense units on approaches to Lozova," he said.
