Covid-19 sickness rate down last week - coronavirus response headquarters
MOSCOW. March 7 (Interfax) - The Covid-19 sickness rate in Russia per 100,000 people went down 29.6% last week from the week before, and the hospitalization rate for the same period went down 22.7%, according to data from the coronavirus response headquarters published on Monday.
"The new coronavirus infection sickness rate per 100,000 people was 420.01 last week, which is a 29.6% decrease from the week before. The sickness rate increased in six regions of Russia, and the increase was higher than the average nationwide increase in five regions," the headquarters said in a report.
The hospitalization rate per 100,000 people was 45.3 last week, which is 22.7% less than the week before, the headquarters said. The hospitalization rate increased in nine regions of Russia.
