Humanitarian aid coordination HQ formed in Ukraine - deputy head of President's Office
KYIV. March 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) - A headquarters for coordinating humanitarian aid arriving from abroad has been set up in Ukraine, Deputy Head of the Ukrainian President's Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko said.
"A precise list of the most needed relief supplies has been compiled. Logistic centers have been set up in the territory of Ukraine, as well as in Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Italy Portugal, and Sweden. The Ukrainian government has simplified the procedure for importing humanitarian aid and has created green corridors in order to increase its volume," Tymoshenko said on Telegram on Friday.
A total of 1,764 tonnes of humanitarian aid arrived in Ukraine from Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania during just one day, on March 2, he said.
