Ukrainian negotiators in Poland, refusing to go to Belarus - political analyst Voskresensky
MOSCOW. March 3 (Interfax) - A team of Ukrainian negotiators is currently in Poland and is refusing to travel to the Belovezhskaya Pushcha nature reserve in Belarus for negotiations with Russia, Yury Voskresensky, a Belarusian political analyst close to the meeting's organizers, said on the Rossiya-24 (VGTRK) television channel.
"Negotiations will take place, the Ukrainian side is in Poland, but it has categorically opposed to making Belovezhskaya Pushcha the venue of the talks," Voskresensky said.
"I'd like to repeat that it seems to me our Ukrainian partners are playing for time. Whether they're expecting reserves, or volunteers from international brigades, or Stingers [surface-to-air missiles]. There's no desire to speed up these talks," he said.
