LPR Interior Ministry defuses explosive device in building of police station in LPR-controlled Stanytsia Luhanska
LUHANSK. Feb 28 (Interfax) - The police of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) have defused an explosive device found in the building of a police station in Stanytsia Luhanska, which the LPR has recently taken under control, the public relations center of the LPR Interior Ministry said.
"The police of the Luhansk People's Republic found and defused an explosive device while examining the building of a district police station in Stanytsia Luhanska," the public relations center said.
"While leaving the place of their service, the National Police of Ukraine put an explosive device with TNT slabs weighing 20 kilos between gas containers located not far from the boiler station," the report said.
"The detonation of the explosive device could have led to numerous civilian casualties as the police station is located in a residential area," the LPR Interior Ministry said.
An anti-personnel mine was also found and defused near an administrative building located near residential buildings, it said.
