Sanctions on Putin, Lavrov manifestation of weakness - Russian Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. Feb 25 (Interfax) - Sanctions imposed on Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov are a manifestation of the West's powerlessness, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.

"Sanctions on the president of the country and the foreign minister are already an example and demonstration of the absolute weakness of their own in pursuing foreign policy and implementing international relations," Zakharova said on the Bolshaya Igra (Big Game) program on Channel One.

"Who are you going to talk to? A sixth of the globe, a nuclear power, a great country, who you decided to play with, what kind of games?" she added.
