UEFA moves home matches of Russian, Ukrainian clubs and national teams to neutral venues

MOSCOW. Feb 25 (Interfax) - The Union of European Football Associations, (UEFA) has decided to prohibit the Russian and Ukrainian clubs and national teams from playing their home matches at their own venues.

"At today's meeting, the UEFA Executive Committee also decided that Russian and Ukrainian clubs and national teams competing in UEFA competitions will be required to play their home matches at neutral venues until further notice," UEFA said in a report released on Friday.

The UEFA Executive Committee earlier decided to relocate the 2022 Champions League final from St. Petersburg to Paris. The date of the match remains unchanged, May 28.
