Royal Jordanian Airlines to launch flights from Amman to Makhachkala this month
MOSCOW. Nov 3 (Interfax) - Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) has permitted Royal Jordanian Airlines to operate scheduled flights from Amman to Makhachkala, Rosaviatsia said.
The first flight totaling 2 hours and 40 minutes is expected to arrive from the Jordanian capital this Wednesday. Flights will operate once per week on Airbus A320neo.
Royal Jordanian is the only airline operating direct flights between Russia and Jordan for the current autumn-winter season, Rosaviatsia said. The route to Makhachkala is new for the carrier, which previously only operated from Amman to Moscow's Domodedovo Airport.
The airline also plans to launch a new route from Aqaba to Moscow.
