Aliyev, Pezeshkian discuss Azerbaijan and Iran's joint projects
BAKU. Oct 9 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian have discussed the development of bilateral relations and joint projects of Baku and Tehran during a meeting on the sidelines of the CIS summit in Turkmenistan, the Azerbaijani presidential website said on Friday.
"It was noted during the meeting that the work related to the implementation of the Aghband-Kalaleh project [of the construction of a motorway bridge across the Araz River on the border of the two countries] is in the final stages. The presidents emphasized that the relevant organizations of the two countries are continuing to work in order to address matters dealing with the development of bilateral cooperation," the website said.
In addition, Aliyev and Pezeshkian discussed the latter's first-time participation in the CIS+ format.
