UK sanctions Russia's Stolichny Kredit bank
MOSCOW. Oct 8 (Interfax) - The UK has added the Stolichny Kredit bank to its sanctions list, the UK government said in a publication on its website.
Stolichny Kredit operates on a basic license and specializes in cash and settlement services and lending for small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as currency exchange and precious metals transactions. The bank is headquartered in Moscow and has two additional offices in St. Petersburg and Samara.
Ratings agency Expert RA said in January 2026 that the bank's development strategy was focused on developing cash and settlement services, primarily in the field of foreign economic activity, as well as transactions involving commemorative coins and precious metals.
Based on results from Q2 2026, Stolichny Kredit ranked 257th by asset size in the Interfax-100 ranking.
