Intra-trade among Eurasian Economic Union countries jumps 10% in Jan-July - Russian PM

MINSK. Oct 2 (Interfax) - Intra-trade among Eurasian Economic Union countries grew 10% year-on-year in January-July 2026, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin reported.

"We are increasing mutual trade. It rose 10% year-on-year in January-July 2026," Mishustin said at an expanded meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.

Mishustin noted that the use of national currencies is also expanding, with the share in settlements for goods having reached nearly 95%, which he described as a solid result.

Mishustin also noted that the union's key macroeconomic indicators are showing positive momentum despite the external challenges. Gross domestic product specifically grew more than 1% in H1 2026 on the back of increases in industrial production, retail trade, and agricultural output.

Mishustin also noted that Russia intends to continue fostering integration processes within the Eurasian region.
