Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange, Russian Export Center agree to integrate services

MINSK. Sept 29 (Interfax) - The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) and the Russian Export Center (REC) have agreed on key areas for cooperation, the BUCE press service said on Tuesday following talks in Minsk between BUCE Management Board Chairman Alexander Osmolovsky and REC Deputy CEO Tatyana An.

"One of the areas is the seamless integration of BUCE and REC services to create a 'single window' for Russian businesses interested in entering the Belarusian market," according to the statement.

"We need to create a comprehensive service package for businesses, so that a Russian company accredited with the exchange has simultaneous access to exchange trading and the full spectrum of financial and non-financial support measures offered by the REC. Similarly, a seamless transition to the exchange's platform would be available via the REC website, allowing users to leverage the digital infrastructure and tools. Integrating our services would simplify operations substantially in Belarus for Russian manufacturers, particularly SMEs," the press service quoted the REC deputy CEO as saying.

Osmolovsky additionally proposed establishing systematic efforts to boost the activity of Russian enterprises on the exchange platform.

A dedicated working group will be set up to draft and implement a cooperation roadmap between the BUCE and the REC.
