Kazakhstan's GDP grows 4.1% in Jan-Aug - govt

ASTANA. Sept 14 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's GDP rose 4.1% in the first eight months of the year, the government press service said.

"Real GDP growth in Kazakhstan reached 4.1% over the eight months and has held at that level for three consecutive months," the statement said.

Manufacturing output rose 8.4% over the eight months, with the strongest growth in machinery (21.2%), food production (12.9%), chemicals (27.3%), construction materials (7%), finished metal products (33.3%), rubber and plastics (18.5%), light industry (70.4%) and pharmaceuticals (38.9%).

Industrial production rose 2.6%, with significant growth also recorded in construction (15.6%), transport and warehousing (7.3%), trade (6%), agriculture (5.2%) and communications (4.4%).

Kazakhstan's economy grew 6.5% in 2025. GDP growth stood at 4.1% in January-July of this year. The National Bank forecasts 4.5%-5.5% growth this year.
