Russian govt guarantees decisions on broader cooperation with N. Korea to be implemented - Mishustin

MOSCOW. Sept 7 (Interfax) - The Russian government will ensure the decisions made at the summit level are implemented to further expand Russian-North Korean cooperation in all areas, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.

"At the level of governments, we will ensure the implementation of decisions made at the summit level to further expand Russian-Korean cooperation in all areas," Mishustin said at the opening ceremony for a road bridge on the border with North Korea.

Russia highly appreciates the special amicable, allied relations with North Korea, he said.

"We appreciate the sincere, candid dialogue of our leaders, Russian President Vladimir Putin and President of the DPRK State Affairs Commission Kim Jong Un," Mishustin said. He thanked the Korean side for the joint work.

He also thanked the teams involved in the project.

Mishustin congratulated participants in the ceremony saying the bridge opening was the result of joint efforts and hard work.

"Construction of the bridge is not just an engineering project but a new symbol of friendship that will serve the peoples of Russia and the DPRK for decades," Mishustin said.
