Multipolar world should not create new division lines - Kyrgyz president

BISHKEK. Sept 1 (Interfax) - The creation of a multipolar world should not result in new division lines, Kyrgyz Presidenti Sadyr Japarov said during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit on Tuesday.

"A multipolar world must truly expand opportunities for countries' equal participation in global processes and should not create new division lines," Japarov said in his closing remarks at a meeting in the SCO+ format.

The Kyrgyz leader noted that the ideas and initiatives voiced at the SCO Summit would be implemented in practice as part of the interaction within the SCO.

Bishkek hosted the SCO Summit and the SCO+ meeting on Tuesday.
