ExxonMobil Kazakhstan names new managing director

ASTANA. Sept 1 (Interfax) - Kenan Nariman took over as managing director of ExxonMobil Kazakhstan Inc. on September 1, the company said.

"Effective September 1, 2026, Kenan Nariman is the Managing Director of ExxonMobil Kazakhstan Inc., succeeding Cecile Rauline. Kenan will also oversee ExxonMobil's assets in Azerbaijan," the company said in a statement.

Nariman joined ExxonMobil in 2001 and most recently served as president of ExxonMobil Korea and lead country manager for South Korea from 2022 to 2026. From 2016 to 2022, he was vice president for commercial affairs at ExxonMobil's Russian affiliates, overseeing commercial development of the Sakhalin-1 project, including the Far East LNG project, and providing commercial oversight for the company's broader activities in Russia.

Rauline had led ExxonMobil Kazakhstan Inc. since June 1, 2023.

ExxonMobil Kazakhstan Inc. has operated in Kazakhstan since 1993. The company holds a 25% interest in the Tengizchevroil joint venture, which operates the giant Tengiz field; a 16.81% stake in the North Caspian Production Sharing Agreement covering the Kashagan field; and a 7.5% interest in the Caspian Pipeline Consortium.
