Belarus to meet all obligations to Russia, including fuel ones - Lukashenko

MOSCOW. Aug 28 (Interfax) - Minsk will meet all of its obligations to Russia, including fuel ones, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said at a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

"You and I have been planning this meeting for a long time, ahead of the meeting with the Russian president. We will discuss many issues with him tomorrow. Yet I should thank you and your government for the impeccable fulfillment of your obligations to Belarus," Lukashenko said.

He said he was confident that Russia had no complaints about Belarus.

"Let me assure you in public yet again that everything we have planned is and will be fulfilled, starting with minor things, such as fuel, diesel, various gasoline brands, so on, and food. We will be fulfilling our obligations. We are fulfilling and even overfulfilling them. You should have no doubt. Up to the serious systemic issues," Lukashenko said.

During Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov's recent visit to Belarus, the two sides discussed their economies and confirmed "our joint projects both in aircraft building and in the military-industrial complex, [and] found total mutual understanding on all matters," Lukashenko said.

He also noted the rapport between Mishustin and Belarusian Prime Minister Alexander Turchin.

Mishustin and Lukashenko are meeting at Russia's Government House in Moscow on Friday.
