UGC gold miner's management co appoints new president

MOSCOW. Aug 27 (Interfax) - Uzhuralzoloto Group (UGC) Management Company has appointed a new president, Andrei Timochkin, in place of Semyon Grinko, according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.

Timochkin was deputy head of the Transport Ministry's Development Programs Department in the 2010s and manager of the Krasnoyarsk Metro project at Bamtonnelstroy-Most JSC (BTS-Most) in the 2020s.

BTS-Most Holding won an auction for the state stake in Uzhuralzoloto in June and soon announced Uzhuralzoloto was changing its name to BTS-Zoloto and Oleg Shiryaev was being appointed as the group's CEO.

UGC is one of Russia's biggest gold miners. It has two hubs - Urals, in the Chelyabinsk region, and Siberia in the Krasnoyarsk territory and Khakassia.
