Russian cat and dog food exports hit record $152 mln in 7M - Agroexport
MOSCOW. Aug 26 (Interfax) - Russian cat and dog food exports rose 35% year-on-year to $152 million in January-July, a record high for the period, the Agroexport federal center told Interfax, citing expert estimates.
Shipments in volume rose 30% to just over 63,000 tonnes.
The previous January-July export revenue high was just over $113 million for 7M 2025.
Exports were highest to Belarus at $96 million, Kazakhstan - $34 million, Uzbekistan - $6.5 million, Azerbaijan -$4 million and Kyrgyzstan - $3.5 million.
The biggest increases in export revenue were to Belarus - $19.6 million, Kazakhstan - $14.7 million and Uzbekistan - $1.8 million.
Russian cat and dog food exports rose 23% in 2025 to a record $256 million, the previous high being $227 million in 2021.
The State Statistics Service (Rosstat) has said Russia boosted pet food output 4.2% to 1.7 million tonnes in 2025.
