Central Bank of Russia includes SPIMEX in register of operators of DFA platforms
MOSCOW. Aug 20 (Interfax) - The Central Bank of Russia has made a decision to include information about the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX) in the register of operators of information systems (OIS) in which digital financial assets (DFA) are issued, the Central Bank said on its website.
The exchange became the sixth OIS included in the CBR's register since the beginning of the year. The number of DFA operators registered in 2026 has therefore already exceeded the figure for the entire previous year, when five new players appeared on the market.
Before SPIMEX, this year's entrants to the register included VTB (previously operating on the DFA market through VTB Capital-Trading), as well as Uralsib, Sputnik DFA, Ozon Bank and Voltari.
In total, the Central Bank's general register now has 25 participants. Among those with their own platforms are Alfa-Bank, Sberbank, T-Bank, PSB, Gazprombank and the National Settlement Depository (NSD).
DFAs are digital analogues of securities that are issued in the form of records in an information system based on a distributed ledger and confirm the investor's rights to an asset.
