International financial center in Uzbek capital to launch in 2027

TASHKENT. Aug 18 (Interfax) - The Tashkent International Financial Center (TIFC) and the international digital technology center Enterprise Uzbekistan will begin operations in Uzbekistan in 2027, the Uzbek president's press secretary Sherzod Asadov said.

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is holding another open dialogue with entrepreneurs in Khiva on Tuesday.

These two centers are expected to attract $20-$25 billion in capital as well as new technologies to the country.

According to the president, as cited by his press secretary, it is planned that a total of 105 new industrial and infrastructure projects with a total value of $27 billion will be launched in Uzbekistan this year.

In particular, large transport and logistics centers will be created in the country's regions - in Alat, Termez, Yangiyul, Akhangaran and Khanabad.
