Russian govt extends rapeseed export duty to Aug 31, 2028

MOSCOW. Aug 12 (Interfax) - The Russian government has extended the export duty for rapeseed for a further two years, until August 31, 2028.

The corresponding government decree was signed on August 10, 2026 and published on the official legal information portal. It makes amendments to a government decree dated November 27, 2021.

The rapeseed export duty was introduced on September 1, 2024 to replace the previous export ban, and was to be effective until August 31, 2026. The duty was set at 30% but no less than 165 euros per tonne.

According to Rosstat data, Russia harvested 5.5 million tonnes of rapeseed in 2025 versus 4.7 million tonnes in 2024.
