EEC extends zero duty on manganese ores, concentrates until Sept 2028

MOSCOW. Aug 11 (Interfax) - The board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has adopted a decision to set a zero rate of import customs duties on manganese ores and concentrates (HS code 2602 00 000 0) until August 31, 2028 inclusive, the EEC's trade division said in a statement.

The zero duty has therefore been extended for another two years.

Manganese ores and concentrates are raw materials for the production of ferroalloys in the metallurgical industry.

Zeroing the duty "will assist metallurgical enterprises in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union by increasing the utilization of their production capacities, organizing the production of higher-margin products and increasing their competitiveness in domestic and foreign markets," the EEC said.
