Russia, Turkey boost mutual agro trade over 30% in H1 2026 - Russian Agro Ministry

MOSCOW. Aug 5 (Interfax) - Russia and Turkey boosted mutual agricultural trade over 30% year-on-year in H1 2026, Russia's Agriculture Ministry reported following the meeting of the Russia-Turkey Agricultural Executive Committee in Ankara.

Deputy Agriculture Minister Maxim Markovich led the Russian delegation and Deputy Agriculture and Forestry Minister Ahmet Bahci led the Turkish delegation.

The Russian ministry notes that the positive trend of mutual trade has continued this year from last year, rising 6% in 2025.

"Russia remains one of the main suppliers of grains, legumes, and oil and fat products to the Turkish market. Last year, Russia began exporting beef to Turkey. In turn, it purchases fish products, fruits, and citrus fruits from Turkey," according to the statement.

Mineral fertilizer is another area of trade cooperation, nearly doubling last year.
