Tajikistan boosts production of meat, meat products 10% in H1
DUSHANBE. July 27 (Interfax) - Tajikistan boosted production of meat and meat products, including poultry, 10.1% year-on-year to over 41,000 tonnes in H1 2026, according to the presidential Statistics Agency.
The agency said that the increase in production was owing to developing the livestock sector, increasing the number of farm animals, expanding poultry production, and boosting capacity to process meat.
As previously reported, gross agricultural output across all types of farms in Tajikistan rose 7.1% year-on-year in comparable prices to 28.8 billion somoni in H1 2026.
The official exchange rate as on July 27, 2026, is 9.264 somoni per/$1.
