Belarusian, Iranian FMs discuss development of trade, political interaction
MINSK. July 24 (Interfax) - Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov has held talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on the sidelines of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry press service said on Friday.
"The meeting confirmed their commitment to all agreements reached during mutual visits by the presidents if Belarus and Iran. The Belarusian side expressed its unchanging support to Iran in the defense of its national sovereignty, territorial integrity and unacceptability of interference in internal affairs," the press service said in its statement.
"The ministers discussed the prospects of boosting trade-economic cooperation, interaction on the international scene, and also checked the schedule of upcoming top- and high-level contacts," it said.
