Russia's current account surplus widens 23.9% to $27 bln in Jan-May - Central Bank estimate

MOSCOW. July 15 (Interfax) - Russia's current account surplus was $27 billion in January-May 2026, up 23.9% from $21.8 billion in the same period of 2025, the Central Bank said in a balance of payments estimate published on its website.

There was a current account surplus of $8.1 billion in May, up 30.6% from an adjusted $6.2 billion in April. The surplus rose 9-fold from $0.9 billion in May 2025.
