Russia, India to sign memorandum of cooperation on transporting cargo along Northern Sea Route

MOSCOW. July 14 (Interfax) - The Russian government has accepted Rosatom state nuclear energy corporation's proposal to sign a memorandum between Russia and India on developing cooperation in maritime cargo transportation along the Northern Sea Route, and the corresponding order has been signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and posted on the official portal of regulatory legal acts on Tuesday.

"To accept the proposal of Rosatom state nuclear energy corporation, as agreed with the Foreign Affairs Ministry and other interested federal executive bodies and preliminarily discussed with India, to sign a memorandum between the government of the Russian Federation and the government of the Republic of India on developing cooperation in maritime cargo transportation along the Northern Sea Route," according to the order.

Rosatom has been instructed to sign the memorandum on behalf of the government.
