Russia to continue food supply to Africa in any case - Lavrov

MOSCOW. July 14 (Interfax) - Russia will continue to honor its obligations to supply food to African countries, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"In any case, we will continue to fully honor our obligations to supply food to our African friends, both under commercial contracts and as humanitarian aid, consistent with their wishes," Lavrov said at a press conference in Moscow. He was asked whether Ukraine's actions towards Russian ships in the Sea of Azov could affect the supply of food, including wheat, to African countries.

"What the Kiev regime is doing is not even piracy. At least pirates plunder and take things for themselves. In this case, they do nothing either for themselves or for others. All they want is to harm and intimidate. This is terrorism, pure and simple, which is happening not just in the Sea of Azov but also in the Black Sea, and, by the way, on the African continent," he said.
