USDA raises forecast for Russian wheat exports in 2026/27 season by 0.5 mln t to 47.5 mln t

MOSCOW. July 13 (Interfax) - The U.S. Department of Agriculture raised its forecast for Russian wheat exports in the 2026/2027 farming season (July-June) to 47.5 million tonnes in its July report published Friday from 47 million tonnes projected a month earlier.

The forecast for nearest rival the European Union remained unchanged at 31 million tonnes.

The USDA also raised its forecast for wheat production in Russia by 0.5 million tonnes to 88.5 million tonnes.

The forecasts for Russia's feed grain and corn exports and harvests were left unchanged at 7.98 million tonnes and 4 million tonnes, respectively, and 38.87 million tonnes and 15.8 million tonnes.

The USDA does not include data for Crimea and new territories in its forecasts.

The USDA left its forecasts for the global harvest in the new season at 820.06 million tonnes of wheat, 1,594.49 million tonnes of feed grain and 1,300.38 million tonnes of corn.
