Kazakhstan's international reserves down 4.6% in June, 1.5% in H1 2026
ASTANA. July 10 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's gross international reserves, including the gold and foreign exchange reserves of the National Bank of Kazakhstan and the assets of the National Fund, amounted to $127.31 billion at the end of June 2026, according to materials from the National Bank.
At the end of May, international reserves amounted to $133.39 billion and $129.31 billion and at the end of 2025. The figure therefore decreased 4.6% in June and 1.5% since the beginning of the year.
The assets of the National Fund decreased 1.4% in June to $65.14 billion.
The gross international reserves of the National Bank decreased 7.7% over the month to $62.17 billion. This includes foreign currency assets amounting to $14.6 billion (-1.3% over the month), and gold which totaled $47.57 billion (-9.5%).
The net international reserves of the National Bank decreased 7.8% in June to $60.16 billion.
