Uzbekistan's international reserves down 4% in H1
TASHKENT. July 8 (Interfax) - Uzbekistan's international reserves amounted to $63.76 billion at the end of June 2026 compared to $66.31 billion at the beginning of the year, according to materials on the website of the country's Central Bank.
The country's international reserves therefore decreased 3.9% over the first half of the year.
Monetary gold increased 1.2% to $55.76 billion, while foreign currency reserves declined 30.1% to $7.44 billion. Assets in SDRs decreased 3% to $556.7 million.
The volume of monetary gold in physical terms increased to 13.9 million troy ounces at the end of June from 12.6 million ounces at the end of 2025.
According to the materials, reserves decreased by $6.83 billion or 9.7% in June, which is associated with a monthly decrease in the gold component (by $5.68 billion or 9.2%).
