Russia's anti-monopoly watchdog opens case against six independent filling station operators in Moscow Region owing to simultaneous price increases
MOSCOW. July 6 (Interfax) - Russia's Federal Anti-monopoly Service (FAS) has detected that six independent filling station operators selling gasoline and diesel through their respective networks have simultaneously raised retail prices, the FAS said.
The FAS said that these actions constitute violations of antitrust law. Consequently, the Moscow Regional Office of the FAS has opened a case against AIST LLC, Fuel Syndicate LLC, Serpukhovnefteproduktservis LLC, Vitaoil LLC, Elegant LLC, and one individual entrepreneur for violating Article 11, Part 1, Section 1, of the Federal Law "On Protecting Competition" that prohibits cartels or collusion between competing companies.
