Still too soon to say whether Power of Siberia 2 agreement with China could be finalized at EEF - Kremlin spokesman
MOSCOW. July 2 (Interfax) - Talks on constructing the Power of Siberia 2 gas pipeline between Russia and China are ongoing at the corporate level, though it is too soon to say whether agreements could be finalized at the Eastern Economic Forum, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"We do not have the information. This is a corporate process. [...] Of course, discussions on this should continue at the corporate level, though whether the finalization will occur at the forum or not, I cannot say right now," Peskov said in response to whether negotiations with China on Power of Siberia 2 could be expected to progress at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), and whether agreements could be expected to be finalized.
Peskov also recalled that the topic was raised during President Putin's recent visit to China.
The EEF will be traditionally held in Vladivostok in early September.
