TASHKENT. June 30 (Interfax) - Uzbekistan and the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) have created a portfolio of 36 joint investment projects for a total sum of $2.8 billion, Uzbekistan's Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade reported.

The ministry said that a delegation from Uzbekistan headed by Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Khurram Teshabayev took part in the EDB's 20th annual meeting in Almaty on June 25-26.

"This was a historical summit for Tashkent, as this was the first time Uzbekistan has taken part in the official events of this financial institution as a full shareholder," the ministry said.

At the summit, Teshabayev conducted bilateral talks with EDB CEO Nikolai Podguzov.

"The parties have conducted a detailed review of a pre-formed portfolio of 36 joint investment projects worth approximately $2.8 billion.
