Belarus ready for projects similar to Great Stone with most foreign investments coming from China - Lukashenko quoted by press service

MINSK. June 29 (Interfax) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has expressed his appreciation for Chinese President Xi Jinping's positive assessment of bilateral relations at his talks with Xi in Beijing on Monday.

"This is what you and I have talked about and, perhaps to some extent, dreamt of before this sweeping cooperation between Belarus and the People's Republic of China began," Lukashenko said, as quoted by his press service.

The Great Stone Industrial Park, where Chinese companies hold the majority of foreign investments, is an example of successful bilateral interaction, he said. "We are ready to take action in this regard," Lukashenko said.

He also commented on bilateral industrial cooperation, as 2026 and 2027 were declared the Years of Belarus-China Industrial Cooperation.

"I am grateful for your support for the initiative to develop industries and industrial cooperation between the two countries this and next year. Belarus is using your technologies in every area of its economic development," Lukashenko said.

"We are satisfied with the level of these technologies and the quality of the products we are receiving," he said.
