No decision made yet on diesel fuel export ban, monitoring to continue - sources from meeting with Novak
MOSCOW. June 26 (Interfax) - No decision was made regarding the diesel fuel export ban at the meeting held by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak on the fuel market situation on Friday, several sources familiar with the meeting outcomes told Interfax.
At the beginning of the week, when Novak told Russian President Vladimir Putin that the possibility of banning diesel fuel exports was being examined, sources said that the ban could be in place until the end of July and that a corresponding draft decree had already been prepared. However, the decision was then put on hold for approximately a week.
Though there were plans to discuss introducing the ban on Friday, the decision was postponed. "It was decided to observe the situation," one source told Interfax.
